Practical activities of the Service are aimed to development of an integral system, which ensure reasonable centralizing, legitimacy of planned and conducted measures, maximum transparency and simplicity for participants of the process, efficient interaction with both Russian and international relevant parties.
To ensure fulfillment of the formulated tasks, the Service has the properly qualified personnel with appropriate knowledge and skills in the area of security of maritime objects, abilities for assessment of probable risks, their character, etc.

How to get there (subway):
Get to Kurskaya station (Koltsevaya or Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line) or to Chkalovskaya station, exit to Sadovoye koltso (ulitsa Zemlyanoy Val) and walk rightwards for 10 min. Then go through the right arch of 3/1 at ulitsa Kazakova to the inner bailey. To enter the territory of the Service use intercom, dial 100.

On 9th of February 2011 FSI Maritime Security Service celebrates its 10 years anniversary.
Federal State Institution “Russian Maritime Security Service” was established in 2001 by renaming State Institution “Fire Safety and Paramilitary Security Guard Service for the Sea Transport” (as per the order of the Ministry of Transport of Russia d/d 09.02.2001 No. 23).
