On 8-9 February 2006 Exhibition Center "Krokus EXPO" hosted 11th International Forum "Security technologies" and the Fifth International scientific and practical conference "Terrorism and transport security".
At the Conference there was organized the 3rd Specialized Exhibition "Transport Terminal Security" - equipment for transport security, life support on the terminals, etc.
The representatives of CIS countries, international organizations, federal officials, scientists, businessmen, public servicemen and media were invited to participate in the Conference.
The purpose of the Conference: to develop approaches and concrete proposals to resolve the problems of preventing terrorism on transport, including suppression of financing sources, joining the efforts of government, science and business in combating terrorism and ensuring security on the transport facilities, enhancing co-operation between law enforcement authorities of the CIS countries and transport and public organizations in their counter-terrorism activities both on national and international levels.
Aims of the conference:

Review the outcomes of the work and implementation of recommendations of the 4th International conference "Terrorism and transport security" (2-3 February 2005);

Summarize the existing experience in preventing terrorism on transport in Russia, within CIS and in the world;

Reveal the problems of bilateral and multilateral international co-operation of preventive measures, suppression of financing sources and combating drugs traffic through transport corridors.
On the first day of the Conference the Head of Federal Agency of Sea and River Transport Alexander Davydenko made a report "Work of the Agency in 2005 to prevent terrorism and ensure security".
