 | | News / Cooperation22 September, 2005 In Vladivostok from 19 to 22 of September 2005, the Russian Federation hosted the 26th meeting of APEC Transportation Working Group.
During the session a lot of attention was paid to the marine transport, and specifically maritime security. The outcomes of two-days meeting of the Maritime Security Experts Group were reported to the Steering Committee on Safe and Environment-Friendly Transportation Systems.
The work within APEC has perspective and usefulness in terms of elaboration of common approaches in the sphere of maritime security. During the Vladivostok meeting Russia proposed the establishing of united data center of maritime safety, environmental protection and security for the APEC region. |
