SOLAS regulation XI-2/9.2.2 requires every ship to which SOLAS chapter XI-2 applies intending to enter the port of another Contracting Government to provide the information described in SOLAS regulation XI-2/9/2/1 on the request of the officers duly authorized by that Government.
The master may decline to provide such information on the understanding that failure to do so may result in denial of entry into port.
